"Mr. Guy"

Mr. Jacobs was born and raised in Phoenix, Ariz. When he was 7 years old, his father packed up the family belongings and moved to Kabul, Afghanistan in 1969. He attended the American International School of Kabul for two years. He then moved to the Hague, in Holland, for 4 years. After that, he moved to Islamabad, Pakistan where Mr. Jacobs attended the International School of Islamabad for two years. The family returned to Glendale, Ariz., where he attended and graduated from Apollo High School. He decided to join the Marines after high school and was Honorably discharged after 4 years of service working in Avionics. He then began working for 4 years for Hughes Helicopter Co. in Mesa, Ariz., building and testing the Apache Helicopter as an Electronic Technician. He decided to attend college at Northern Arizona University full-time receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism (photojournalism emphasis). He then took his new skills to Gallup, N.M., and worked as a Photojournalist for 4 years for the Gallup Independent going on assignment all over the Navajo Reservation. After that, he returned to N.A.U. to pursue his Teacher Certification in Secondary Education in Social Studies and has been teaching for 11 years. He says he is now very pleased to be teaching at the C.A.P. High School where he feels he can make the most positive impact academically and socially on the diverse students lives here!
